Poppins Takes Viewers Back to Childhood

Poppins Takes Viewers Back to Childhood

December 19 we received an amazing new movie in the theaters. Mary Poppins Returns is an imaginative, whimsical movie that’s good for all ages. When the lights dimmed in the theater, I could already feel a sense of excitement to see this new movie. The music was incredible, the cast was wonderful, and the whole movie was “practically perfect in every way,” just like Mary Poppins. With a fairly low rating of 78%, I disagreed with all of the critics who said it was just ok. The music is so wonderful and like nothing you’ve heard before. Mary Poppins Returns is so full of emotions that are portrayed perfectly by the cast. Emily Blunt brings the character Mary Poppins completely to life and makes her seem so real. She brings everything to life in this new rendition of the classic.

The main characters are the Banks children, but not the ones you are thinking of. They are Michael Banks’ children; Annabelle, John, and Georgie. These kids are very well behaved and do not do very much. But one day Georgie chases down an old kite and finds Mary Poppins on the other end of it. Mary Poppins arrives in the midst of trouble at the Banks household because their family home is being repossessed by the bank if they cannot come up with all of the money to pay back a loan. With the help of Jack the leery, Mary and the children go through lots of adventures while also figuring out ways to help their father save their house.

I think that everyone should get to experience the magic of this movie that will bring you back to your childhood.
