Student Council Sells Snacks for Prom Funds

Student Council will be selling snacks in the courtyard January 17 to raise money for prom.

Recently during the mornings of announcements, the student council have given students a heads up so that they can have their dollars ready. Student Council will be selling chips, candy, and other desirable snacks. Not only will students have an additional food option that day,  they will also be supporting the 2020 CHS Prom. Everyone loves prom, so in order to help pay for the decorations and other necessities, Student Council found that selling candy would be a great idea. “We sold snacks last year a couple of times and had huge success with it.  It seems to be a popular item that students are willing to pay $1 for,” said Ms. Leigha Nguyen, Student Council Co-Adviser. When deciding what type of snacks to sell, “student Council votes on the food items… and also promotes the upcoming sale on their social media,” she said.

Past student counsil fundraising efforts also include working at Chick fil A, hosting Stoby’s pancake breakfasts, and working at local pizza buffets to fundraise.
