The Conway High School Volleyball team hosted their annual pink night fundraiser on Thursday, September 24, in order to raise money and awareness for this year’s recipient, Sydney Stoner Shelton.

Sydney Stoner Shelton was a former volleyball player for Conway Volleyball and therefore extra sentimental for the year. Coach Fason, having played with her at Conway, said “This year’s fundraiser hit’s extremely close to home,” and called being able to support Shelton through her struggles was an “extreme honor.”

Money is raised on pink night in multiple different ways. Prior to the actual night, t-shirts are sold for fundraising and awareness. After that, tickets that are sold at the game go straight to the recipient, as well as raffles, a silent auction, and more. Even mid-season the Conway Volleyball Coaches and team do everything in their power to raise money for those struggling with something as horrid as cancer.

The Lady Cats defeated the Bryant Hornets in the match that night.
