Meagan Williams, CJHS Cat Congress Adviser, has been opening room number 2002 for students to come and make paper daisies. Every morning students have been welcomed from 7:45-8:00 since October.

After the passing of CJHS freshman Hannah Hammond, a friend of Hammond’s approached Williams with the idea. Williams felt “that it was a wonderful project for our campus to complete”.

The goal was set at one thousand daisies. Having made almost five hundred daisies Williams says we are “roughly halfway through our goal.” Students are still coming and working toward the goal. Williams explained that “We may start to display them now and keep adding to them as they are complete. That way we can see our progress and it will motivate us to keep going until we meet our goal!”
