September 13, the Conway boys tennis team matched up against  Catholic, who are known for being one of the best teams in Conway’s conference. The doubles teams took the court first.

In an emotional and energetic match, Meek and New took their 2nd loss of the season with a final score of 2-8. Followed by that, Mattson and Rudd ended up losing their first match of the season 2-8. After the conclusion of the varsity doubles, the varsity singles took the court.

Lemieux and his opponent went back and forth the entire match until Lemieux pulled away and won 8-4. Norman was dominant from the start in the 2nd singles match. He was victorious with a score of 8-2.

When all the scores were calculated, Conway boys ended up losing 2-2 (20 games to 22 games) in a close one. Even though the team lost, Lemieux and Norman improved their conference tournament seeding by picking up some hard-earned wins.
