Conway Junior High School Asian club met to celebrate The Chinese New Year. On February 10, 2022, members of the Asian club gathered together after school in Mrs. Chen’s room, the Asian club director, to celebrate the start of the new year. Chinese New Year is a very important celebration amongst Chinese families, it’s a time to feast with friends and families while welcoming every good aspect of the new year and saying goodbye to the bad of the last. So as a way to honor it, the Asian club celebrated by feasting on traditional snacks and talking about the importance of this holiday. “The foods there are very good and the teacher eve allows us seconds. Out of the two snacks (gluten rice cakes and snowflake crisps), we had for Chinese New Year I really like the snowflake crisps,” said Ayleen Jimenez, the president of the Asian club. So it’s safe to say that the Asian Club had a blast celebrating this year’s Chinese New Year, and I most certainly cant wait to see what they have planned for the next meeting.
