CHS Holds Yearly Active Threat Drill

CHS held its yearly active threat drill on Wednesday, September 14.

The drill works to prepare teachers and students to be ready should the unspeakable happen.  It also tests the capabilities of the Rave Panic Button app, which is used to notify teachers of where the threat is, so they can make a judgment on how to best move their classes to safety.  “Active thread drills are important to make us aware of the possibility,” said Assistant Principal Lordes Goodnight. “As well as to make sure our communications works and our teachers know what to do.”

The school was evacuated quickly and students returned to 6th-period classes on time.  Schools are required to practice this drill yearly.
