Conway Symphony Orchestra: A Night to Remember

Avery Ferguson

On Thursday, January 28, 2023, the Conway music department hosted their annual Conway Symphony Orchestra. This performance was open to the public and began at 6:30 pm. After the performance, the orchestra held a banquet for both the performers and attendees. They had cookies, punch, and it was held in the Conway band room. The choir performed in one of the four songs. These songs included the theme from Pirates of the Caribbean and Poet and Peasant Overture. They even performed a piece written by a Conway High student. Tristen Perciful, a highschool senior, composed the piece “A Strong Foundation.” The orchestra is already planning for next years performance and hopes it will be a night the audience will never forget. Orchestra member, Jacelyn Butler, stated, “It is fun getting to play with the band and choir because we only get to do it once a year.”
