The Conway Wampus Cats baseball team now prepares to travel to Texas to play 4 games against teams from Texas. The Cats will play 2 games on Thursday, March 2nd and a game on both Friday and Saturday.

The Wampus Cats will play Rock Hill and Southlake Carroll on Thursday, Rockwall High School on Friday, and Marcus High School on Saturday. All games will be played in Texas. The game Thursday will be only the second game of the year for Conway, after dropping the season opener against Lakeside High School. Ty Purtle, a member of the team said, “I’m excited to be able to travel, and hope I can get some playing time while I’m down there.”

This comes after the game against Heber Springs got canceled, which would have been the home opener for the Cats. The games in Texas will be a good chance for the Wampus Cats to bounce back after the loss, and get some momentum going into the early part of the season.
