Hugh Hill

Over March 2-4, Conway Baseball will open their season with several big matchups against top ranked opponents . The Cats will be traveling to Rockwall, Texas to participate in the inaugural Five Tool High School invitational tournament containing 14 of the best teams in the nation.

The tournament features teams from Mississippi, Oklahoma, Arkansas, California, and Texas. The Cats will be traveling Wednesday night to open their schedule on Thursday with two big matchups in a doubleheader against Rock Hill HS and Southlake Carroll HS. They will follow this with a game against Rockwall HS on Friday and another against Marcus HS on Saturday.

This is the first time the Conway Baseball team has been invited to a nationally renowned tournament, so it’s an amazing opportunity to build the program and increase player exposure to colleges. Senior second baseman Sam Gregg is ready to go to Dallas, saying, “I’m super excited to play against some of the best competition in the country. It’ll be fun to compete to see where we stand at the start of the season.” After this tournament, the Cats will have a four day break before they begin playing against in-state competition. The home opener will be against El Dorado on March 11.
