Daniel Taft is the only student at Conway High School in seventeen clubs and participates in all of them wearing flip flops. From being on the Conway High School Mock Trial Team to being the President of the Fellowship of Christian Students, he is everywhere, doing everything, all of the time. Daniel has always been heavily involved in the school community, starting with his participation on the Simon Middle School Quizbowl Team. Since then, he has traveled the world with his clubs, attending FBLA Nationals in Atlanta, Georgia this past summer and traveling to Phoenix, Arizona with the speech and debate team for NSDA Speech and Debate Nationals all the while rocking his open toed shoes. “I love participating in my school and community because it is a great way to spend my time knowing that I’m making an impact,” says Daniel about his heavy involvement in both his school and community. Daniel hopes to attend an Ivy League school this coming fall and later attend law school. He is striving to be a lawyer and future policymaker all the while staying true to his flip flop self.
