Ella White has been immersed in a volleyball environment since she was 11 years old. To start her career she and a couple of friends joined a volleyball club called Conway Juniors. She wore the number 10 on her back for her brother, Cade. She instantly fell in love with the game. Ella always looked up to the older players. One in particular, Olivia Wiedower, caught her eye. Ella loved the way Olivia led any team she was on and how she made everything look effortless. Ella got the chance to play with Olivia for the first time during her sophomore year in high school. They got to play with each other for 2 years, and over that time Ella got the chance to get hands-on experience with her role model.
Ella stated, “For the past 7 years I have created bonds over volleyball that will last me a lifetime.” To Ella volleyball is more than just a game, it’s something that she will look back on for the rest of her life. Ella also has played for the Conway High School team. Ella is one of the varsity setters for Conway High, and being a setter means that she is the leader on the court, and she controls all aspects of the game. Ella has grown into this position through the 3 years she has been on the team and is trying to fill the spot of her role model,Olivia Wiedower, who left last year. Even with her being a great player now, she had to start somewhere, and that place was Conway Juniors Volleyball. CJV has welcomed Ella and has helped her improve her skills over the past 7 years. CJV has been a staple in her life, and she is devastated that her time there is over. Ella’s skills don’t just stop at volleyball; she is also the Conway High softball team’s varsity second basemen. Ella is a great hype man on the team, and she knows how to cheer anyone up. She plays an important role in everything she participates in.
After this volleyball season, Ella is hanging up her knee pads and volleyball shoes. She plans on going to the University of Central Arkansas where she will major in physical therapy. By going into this career field she will get to keep sports in her life. This season she has a lot to prove, and she will leave everything on the court.
