Conway High School seniors will be graduating on May 17th at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock. The ceremony will begin at 7 p.m, with students arriving at 5 pm for preparation. Cap and gowns will be distributed on April 2nd, however, students who have not turned in their graduation transportation forms will not be allowed to collect them, until done so. Gowns are only to be worn once you enter the stadium, and decorated caps are not permitted. Strain photography will be present to take pictures of each student, and students must have their picture taken. This is why seniors need to arrive by 5pm to the stadium, so that everyone is prepared. If a student arrives after the designated time, they may not be able to walk.
Recommended clothing to wear for graduation is as follows:
Girls: Dresses, skirts, blouses, dress pants, dark shoes ( No high heels, you want to wear shoes that you know you will be comfortable standing and walking around in for hours.)
Boys: White shirt, dark tie, dark trousers, and dark shoes. Again, please wear shoes you know will not be difficult or uncomfortable.
Cords and stoles may only be worn if they were distributed by the school. No outside cords or stoles will be permitted. They should only be worn at the ceremony, and not practice. You will be receiving cords and stoles Tuesday, April 2nd, by your counselor.
Practice for graduation will be held on May 16th, starting at 9am. Students need to arrive 15-20 minutes early, and no parents will be allowed to watch the practice. Tickets will not be sold for the actual ceremony. It is first come first serve, so students are allowed to invite whoever they want with no limit. Just keep in mind that once we reach the capacity limit, we cannot let anyone else enter. We have to follow stadium guidelines, and whoever breaks these rules will be asked to leave.
