Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated from September 15 to October 15. Conway High School celebrates this month in many different ways including trivia, prizes, bulletin boards, class activities, and parent night.
Spanish Instructor Senora Tedford emphasizes the importance of the celebration. “The Hispanic Culture is growing, and the United States is all about diversity, there are people from all over the world in our country. And It is important for us to learn about hispanic culture. Learning more about hispanic culture helps us to accept people, and it is fun. There are so many activities, and foods that people don’t know,” she said.
There are some fun upcoming events that are currently in the works. This includes parent night. The parent night is a night where the students can show their parents what all they have learned about hispanic culture. There are plans for food trucks, yard games, face painting and more.
