As the Feminist club has grown over the last three years they have been able to do more for the community than ever before like volunteering at Cradle Care where they helped organize their donations. Janaya Harris is the president of the club who with the help of Mrs. Wood helped organize the volunteer hours. This allowed the feminist club to be able to help Cradle Care continue its organization in helping new mothers who are still in high school and college. Harris said, “ My favorite part of the volunteer work was being able to see the help we are providing to our community in real-time.” She also said,“ I believe that this opportunity has opened so many doors for people and our club so we can make connections through many different paths.” Marley Crawford, a Young Feminist Club member said, “ My favorite part about volunteering at Cradle Care was seeing the reactions from the workers when they saw how much work we got done. It was nice being able to see that I helped make a difference.” Feminist Club is not only planning to volunteer more with Cradle Care in the future but also with the Superior Health Nursing Home with their Halloween Party and the special Olympics.
