Music is essential in people’s everyday lives. Whether you are doing homework, cleaning, studying, grinding at the gym, or just bored, music is something that every person finds calming and soothing when feeling down or under pressure. Many people have different music apps and different tastes in music, but deciding on what to use to listen to music is a wide debate here at CHS.
People may use wired headphones, which are no problem at all, but through the years two kinds of headphones have changed the way that people listen to music today; Airpods and Beats. “Airpods are really handy because they are small enough to fit in your pocket, so you can listen to music wherever you go,” Sierra Allison, a senior at CHS said. Another student at Conway High School, Ava Gipson said, “I love my Airpods, I’ve had them for a year now and I am so happy I have a pair. Before and after Volleyball practice and games I always listen to music to get myself ready.” “Airpods are THE number one headphones not gonna lie! My music is the one thing that keeps me going at school and on the court,” Caleb Collum, an athlete at CHS. People seem to love Airpods, but what about our Beats users? “I love my Beats, my mom got them for me last Christmas and I’ve been in love with them since. The sound quality sounds like you’re in an empty stadium with your music,” Georgia Brooks comments. “ Beats are my favorite! I used to have Airpods, but I would lose them because they were so small. So I bought myself some White Beats and ever since I’ve been in love with them. The sound quality is phenomenal!” Emma Kesterson a student at CHS says. “ I love my Beats because they have incredible sound quality, easy to carry around and store. I especially love Beats because of all the colors, I got Pink Beats (of course.)” Mauresha Foster said.
Whatever their reasons, it’s clear headphones are something people feel strongly about.
