At first glance, Sean Williams may seem like an average senior at Conway High School. He loves cats, anime, and video games, and he also works at Raising Cane’s. However, while these interests may seem like who he is, his identity most prominently lies in his art.
“I’ve been doing art since I was young,” he says. “I’ve always loved drawing.” From a young age, Williams was already able to draw his own characters and scenes. Since then, he has grown into the incredible artist he is today, and now that he is in high school, he has the opportunity to learn how to further his art skills through classroom learning. This allows him to learn alongside other students who have similar interests to him. He feels the most inspired to create art when ideas appear spontaneously. “When I prepare to draw, it always looks so ugly,” he says. “It only looks good when I don’t draw on purpose.”
Williams hopes to pursue art as a career in the future, whether it’s animation, selling pieces, or earning commissions. By seeing his skills now, his future is bright. His life goals include living in an apartment and adopting a cat. He dreams of visiting Japan, the location of his artistic roots, and France.
