The 4th annual Dandra Thomas Invitational is about set to start up and this tournament has already gained a lot of hype in only its 4th year of existence.  The Conway Lady Cats look to defend their tournament win from last year as the 8 team pool consist of CAC (Central Arkansas Christian), North Little Rock, Little Rock Christian, Little Rock Parkview, Springdale, Jonesboro, and Jacksonville.  All teams look promising to take home the trophy, but Conway and North Little Rock look to have great years as they are thought to be the most complete teams. As the home favorites Conway looks to win using their dominant senior guard duo of Asiyha Smith and Myia Yelder.  They face a tough test right off the bat as they face CAC at 8:30 PM on Thursday (11/15/18) and are asking for fans to come out and support the Lady Cats.

Lets not forget that at the end of the day this tournament is to honor Conways own Dandra Thomas as this marks the 15th anniversary of her death.  Thomas was a standout player who played at UCA and was a dominant force in all aspects of her game, she was also a leader on and off the court. She led by example and was sadly taken from us due to a car wreck, and never got to live out her full purpose in life, but has left a legacy every athlete should follow.  The tournament is a 3 day event that concludes Saturday (11/17/18) and fans are excited for who comes out on top in this years Dandra Thomas Invitational.
