Students Create Christmas Cheer

Students Create Christmas Cheer

Caring Cats is a popular club at Conway High School, and even during a pandemic, members are doing their best to make Christmas a little brighter for those in need. Without Caring Cats, these families might have no Christmas otherwise. In years past, they have achieved this goal through angel paws, which represent specific items for a particular child. Students would grab an individual paw, and also had the option to donate money. With that money, Caring Cat officers would then go shopping together to purchase items for students and their families in need.

However, the Christmas outreach from this club was reconstructed to look differently, like many other things this year. Instead of sponsoring an individual child, the club has encouraged members to group together in order to donate to entire families, varying from 2-4 children. They are able to do this by ordering the desired gifts and having them shipped directly to the house of the family. This idea was created in order to make the exchange contact-free, while still helping those in need.

President of Caring Cats Sarah Grace Adams said,“The different set up for angel paws this year can’t take away the blessing it is to so many families. I’m so thankful that we are still able to bring that same joy even though it looks a little different than usual!”
