The highly-anticipated Spiderman: No Way Home movie came out Friday, December 17. Rumors were rampant and expectations high, but after watching the movie opening night, I can say with confidence that it’s well worth a watch. The movie features Peter Parker, his Spiderman identity now revealed and struggling to continue with a normal life. Events worsen when he tries to fix things and he must realize what it means to be Spiderman.

Without giving too much away, this third installment was funny, exciting, and compelling even though I’ve only seen the Tom Holland Spiderman movies. This movie is slightly outside of the typical Marvel production, featuring more light-hearted comedy thanks to its teenage characters while also hitting all the emotional beats you’d expect for a struggling young superhero. Despite a large cast of characters, they’re introduced well and play nicely into the movie’s overall theme. The actors do a phenomenal job and there are several familiar faces.

This movie is definitely among the top of my favorite Marvel movies and completely changes the trajectory for Tom Holland’s Peter Parker. Although there are many satisfying endings and closure, the end of the movie leaves us with plenty of questions and melancholy for what’s been lost.
