January 26 ASVAB Interpretation was offered. Scores are finally returning after the initial testing in November.

The ASVAB is an acronym for the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery, a standardized test designed to determine an applicant’s aptitude for duty in the United States Armed Forces. It assists recruiters in determining an individual’s suitability for specific branches of service or military vocations. The Air Force, Army, Marine Corps, Navy, and Coast Guard all employ it.

It is NOT an intelligence test; rather, it is a measure of an individual’s strengths and limitations in areas such as math, physics, and reading, as well as current understanding of specific mechanical, electronic, automotive, and shop topics. The ASVAB is available in both paper and pencil and computer adaptive (CAT) formats. The CAT-ASVAB is taken by the great majority of recruits.
