March 17, the varsity boys’ soccer team had a well-played game against North Little Rock. By half time the score was 3 to 0. NLR got a free kick with 12 minutes left in the game but missed. There were several close calls especially with numerous corner kicks pushing the ball close to the goal. The final score ended up being 6 to 0 with a win for Conway. One of the players to score a goal was Henry Ross who made the last two goals.“It was our first win at home this season which was big and I feel like we played really well as a team,” said Ross. Both schools played hard and put on a good game. The team played in the afternoon and were followed by the girls’ JV and varsity soccer teams who also played against the North Little Rock teams. The soccer team’s next game will be Tuesday in Cabot.
