Friday September 30, the baseball and soccer teams were honored for their state championship seasons at the home football game. They were presented with rings on the field before Conway took on North Little Rock.

Before the ceremony, the baseball team held a tailgate in the school parking lot. They provided a pre-game meal and ensured that the tailgate’s theme centered around Conway’s blue and white colors. All Conway Baseball Alumni and past coaches were invited to the event, along with current players and their families. At 6:30, both the baseball and soccer teams walked onto the football field with their rings, and highlight tapes from both championship games were shown.

Sam Gregg made the winning play for the baseball team, and he expressed his enthusiasm about the ceremony and the state championship. When asked about both, he said, “They were moments I’ll never forget.” Will Childers, a Conway soccer player, had a similar response when asked about the championship game. Childers said, “After losing in the championship last year, it was a surreal feeling to get back to that same game and bring home a title.”
