Conway Cross Country Hosts Wampus Cat Invitational

Henry, Swindle set personal records at home meet

Conway Cross Country hosted the Wampus Cat Invitational  at Beaverfork Park October 1.

Conway Boys finished 4th with three runners who finished top 20. Junior Max Henry finished 2nd overall with a time of 16:21, his personal best.

Conway Girls finished 3rd at the meet and had 4 runners with a top 20 finish. Junior Meg Swindle finished 1st overall with a personal record of 19:01. So far Swindle has placed first several times and has lead the Conway Cross Country girls to high finishes in many meets.

Junior Lilli King who finished 14th in the meet described the Conway Invitational: “It was a hot meet but we still went out there and competed our best.” The teams still has a handful of meets left to prepare for Senior Conference Meet on October 22 and the State Meet on November 3.
