The Conway Wampus Cats baseball season began on Monday, February 20th against the Lakeside Rams. The Cats season didn’t start the way they wanted it to, as they lost 2-10 on Monday night.

The season didn’t start the way Conway wanted, however, it is good to have baseball season back. Even though the team didn’t play how they expected to in their opening game, the team is confident that they will get everything fixed and have a good season. Junior catcher, Evan Harder, said, “I am pretty confident that we can get back on track. We are much better than that game showed. We just didn’t show up and didn’t have focus.”

Conway will play their next game on February 27th, against Heber Springs. This will be Conway’s first home game of the season, as they will look to get back on track. Conway will look to bounce back and hopefully have another season like last year.
