Conway Varsity Lady Cat’s Soccer run sprints so they will be in shape for the upcoming season.

The Conway Varsity Girl’s Soccer team has shown immense improvement since last year and is showing flashes of greatness and can be a contender in the playoffs. They have demonstrated improvements in their ability to score and prevent goals. Against Southwest and Warren, Conway beat them by a combined 24 points and didn’t allow a single goal. Anna-Kate Simco said, “My favorite moment this season was against Southwest when I was accidentally punched in my eye.” One of the bright spots on this team is Junior, Alexes Onyeyiri, who is an offensive threat. She has demonstrated her incredible ability to score goals, by scoring multiple goals against El Dorado and Cabot. When Onyeyiri described how the team practices and prepares for other teams, she said, “We practice different patterns or formations depending on the team we play.” The Lady Cats can make a deep playoff run, and if the regular season has any indication of what is to come, this team has the potential to win State this year.
