Aleca Wells is a student at Conway High School, but more importantly, she is a loving dog owner. Wells recently went in-depth about her relationship with her dog, Rocky, and his fascinating story.
The early days of Rocky’s life were anything but easy. “When we got him we found out he was separated from his mother,” Wells said. “When we took him to the vet we found out he was only 2 months old.” Wells’ concern for her pet’s well-being led her to introduce him to other dogs, hoping one could serve as a surrogate mother of sorts. “He got attached to my uncle’s dog, Sugar,” Wells said. Rocky found new companions outside his species. Wells also has a rabbit, who Rocky has grown quite fond of. “They snuggle on the couch,” Wells said. “Sometimes Rocky will get in the bunny cage and they’ll play.” Rocky spends most of his days at home with his loving family, and the hardships of his life long behind him.
