Any current juniors at Conway High School that are eligible and/or nominated by a teacher are highly encouraged to apply for governor’s school on December 1st, 2021 in the counseling center. Governor’s school is a 4-week residential program hosted at Arkansas Tech University in Russelville, Arkansas. The program is mainly for intellectual students who are interested in academics and liberal/performing arts. Area 2 philosophy professor at governor’s school, Phillip Spivey, says, “Students need to go to governor’s school because they have the opportunity to be a part of a 43 year old tradition that celebrates creativity and leadership.” Governor’s school is where students build new relationships and let their unique flags fly, so make sure to sign up!
