Somewhere over the rainbow, Red Curtain Theatre is bringing the classic musical, “The Wizard of Oz”, to  Conway. If you do not know this classic tale you are surely missing out. The story follows Dorothy Gale, a young girl traveling to the magical Land of Oz to find the true meaning of love, meaning, and home. On the way, she meets classic characters: Tin Man, Lion, Scarecrow, Glinda the Good, and of course the Wicked Witch of the West. 

RCT’s The Wizard of Oz is a youth musical theatre workshop. What is that, you might ask?? A Musical Theatre workshop is when you pay a fee and youth from all across Arkansas and in the community come together and audition. Everyone is guaranteed a part in the production. After casting is finalized the casts spend six to eight weeks putting together the production for Conway. 

The show will be presented for two weekends, although the venue is being decided, the shows will take place on April 8,9, and 10th. As well as April  15, and  16th.  The show truly has something for everyone from catchy tunes such as “Follow the Yellow Brick Road”, to the classic tune, “Over the Rainbow”; This show is perfect for the whole family, for more information on tickets be sure to visit: redcurtaintheatre.com.
