The Conway Wampus Cats baseball team will play three games this week. They will play Monday at home, Tuesday at home, and Thursday at Jonesboro.

The 9/10 team will play Monday night at 5:00 PM against Vilonia High School. The Varsity and JV teams will play Tuesday and Thursday against Cabot and at Jonesboro. Conway’s 9 game winning streak came to an end Saturday, as they lost to Texarkana 13-4. The varsity team will now go back to conference play and play Cabot Tuesday night, in a key conference matchup. Sophomore Pitcher and First Baseman, Ty Purtle, said, “We have been playing pretty good recently, and I think we can keep playing that way in conference play.”

The Wampus Cats record now sits at 10-4 overall, and 2-0 in conference play. They currently sit in third place in their conference behind Bryant and Cabot. The Wampus Cats are around half way through the season, but they will have to face some tough teams during the second half of the season.
