Conway High School’s Leslie Islas is a well known Sophomore, known for his theater antics, yet there is more to this student than what happens on the stage. He lives an extremely productive lifestyle, keeping busy to help settle his mind and his body. “Not being productive makes me feel nauseous,” he says. If he wakes up any later than around 9:30, or has nothing to do all day, he can feel sick. His body will feel weak and he gets nauseous. It also affects him mentally. Whenever he wakes up late, it’s hard for him to get anything done for the rest of the day. Along with theater, there’s a multitude of other things that he loves to do, such as play soccer, clean, and do his homework. Even with all of these things, there’s a reason why he stays so productive besides maintaining physical and mental health. “I want to show people that I am capable of being independent and do things without being told to do so.” With this passion for productivity, we should expect great things from this young student.
