Conway High’s FBLA club recently attended the 2025 Fall Conference held at the University of Central Arkansas on Thursday, Oct 30th. The group arrived eager to gain new knowledge about business and beyond.
Each year, there is a keynote speaker who shares some insights and encouragement with the audience. Club member Connor Barker gave his thoughts on this year’s lecture. “They taught us about how to grow into our career life and a lot of personal discussion, like how to handle goals and that type of stuff,” he said.
Also, it is tradition for the team to go and eat afterwards. This year, they went to the Conway Commons and bonded over a delicious Blaze pizza. Club member Briana Mendez gives her opinion on how important this post-hangout is when you are a part of a club. “There was a lot of bonding. We talked about our lives and problems. I think this is necessary for clubs, especially a small club, because when you get to know each other, you can help each other more and build off of that,” Mendez said.
FBLA’s next event is a boot camp in preparation for their Spring Competitions and Conference. It took place on November 19th at ASU Beebe. There, they practiced their interviews, presentations, tests, and more in order to know what to expect and improve upon for the official event. Wish them luck as they go to get in tiptop shape and represent the school.
