Lady Cats Serving Successful Season

So far the Varsity Lady Cats Volleyball Team is having a winning season with the record of 15-1. They have won many games 3-0 this season displaying their dominance over other teams, including sweeps of opponents such as Bryant, Jonesboro, Central, Greenbrier, Cabot, North Little Rock, Little Rock Christian Academy.

The Lady Cats’ only loss so far has been was at Benton with a close score of 3-2. They also placed 2nd in the Bentonville Early Bird Invitational where they beat Greenbrier, Rogers, Blue Springs, Kickapoo before losing to Rockbridge in the finals. Additionally, they played in the Jonesboro Play Day Tournament where they finished first overall, and they also won their home tournament on October 8. They face Central tomorrow at home. 

Junior Tate Jones said the team is successful because of their focus in practice. “Everyone starts with intentional warm ups that hone each player’s position, then Coach Crow calls everyone together and works on a detailed practice which is something that the whole team needs to work on.”  Senior Saniyah Rippond said what needs to happen for  successful season to continue: “I believe having a successful season requires a lot of hard work and trust. We strive to be the best and do it together as a team.”

State tournaments start later this month on October 29, and will be held in Hot Springs in Bank Ozark Arena.
